American Recovery And Reinvestment Act (ARRA)
Governor Martin O’Malley’s commitment to revitalize neighborhoods and provide safe,
affordable, sustainable housing opportunities for low- and moderate-income families,
the homeless, the disabled and senior citizens will get a significant boost under
the American
Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) that President Barack Obama signed
on February 17, 2009.
Maryland is expected to receive more than $191 million in ARRA funding for housing
and community development efforts, including more than $114 million that will be
administered by the Maryland Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCD).
